Millennium Software has been appointed as agent for the encryption and tokenisation products developed by Patrick Townsend Security Solutions (PTSS). PTSS are leaders in the development of products to secure data at rest and in motion.
It is becoming more important than ever to consider the costs and consequences of a data breach, as we regularly hear of thousands, and sometimes millions, of customer and patient records compromised by loss or theft. The average cost of a data breach is estimated by some sources to be around EUR 2M, and the reputational damage can be severe. And for those processing credit cards, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) is accelerating the search for solutions.
Millennium Software sought a partner in this area as we have seen the need for Enterprises to increase their efforts to match the increasing levels of danger to their data, and ultimately, their businesses. In PTSS we have found a world leader. PTSS has built products based on AES and PGP encryption that encompass all Enterprise platforms. Working with the largest retail, financial, medical, and manufacturing companies in the world, PTSS understands the business imperatives of keeping critical data safe, and also how important it is to design solutions that have a minimal impact on day-to-day operations.
PTSS are the only providers of NIST-certified encryption products on the IBM System i platform, and continue to innovate in the encryption area, having recently released the Alliance Key Manager, an appliance designed to serve encryption keys securely to any Enterprise platform. Available as a “box”, the AKM can ensure that encryption keys are stored separately to the data they protect, and so allows for segregation of duties, which has always been good security practice.

Millennium Software has signed an agreement with ASNA International to enable the companies to work together in the Irish market. ASNA’s products enable businesses to
Maximise their investments in RPG applications; extending the value of these assets to enable Web services, better integration between all applications,
modern user interfaces, and contemporary development strategies.
Millennium Software staff will work alongside ASNA personnel to help customers rapidly move applications in whole or part to .NET, either ASNA’s Visual RPG or C#,
using a tried and tested migration toolset and methodology.
