What is it?
GoFaster is Software that makes your IBM System i, AS/400, iSeries, i5, etc. go faster! Its purpose is to achieve the maximum interactive performance in those servers where interactive capability is limited – where you cannot currently utilise the total capacity of your machine (rated in a unit called “CPW”).

It’s a simple software install; no hardware to change, just a new library on disk. It has been in use internationally for many years, and works with V4R4 of the Operating System upwards.

Who is it for?
Anyone with a machine whose interactive capacity is capped below the processor’s true capacity, and whose users need more power. The majority of us have such machines, as uncapped interactive capacity has been so expensive. This has caused problems for users and IT departments alike.

Smaller companies could perhaps upgrade to a machine with user-based licensing, and that’s a good solution if an upgrade is a possibility in the current environment. For those who need larger machines, user-based licensing may not be available.

How is it priced?
GoFaster is licensed on a time and processor basis. You can get licenses for 3 months, 6 months, a number of years, or an unlimited period. This enables you to match your requirements (e.g., up the time of your next hardware upgrade) with a license period. Substantial discounts are available for 2nd or subsequent processors.
